Welcome to Horizons Family Law Centre.  We are a non-profit legal service that has been operating in north western Sydney since 2005 and in south western Sydney since 2009. We provide help to people who are experiencing the effects of family breakdown and have no other access a lawyer.

 
Who We Are

Steve Frost is the Principal Solicitor of Horizons Family Law Centre. Steve worked as a solicitor in private practice for 10 years before founding Horizons Family Law Centre in 2005. Steve works with our team of staff and volunteers, including lawyers, paralegals and administrative support workers. 

Horizons Family Law Centre is included in Legal Aid NSW's list of community organisations providing legal services, and is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a public benevolent institution. 

Our Centre has acted in a number of reported family law cases, including:

• Stokes & Vines [2008] FamCA 467 (20 June 2008) - family violence, relocation, orders for no time or communication with the father;
• Perceval & Anor & Perry [2014] FCCA 911 (15 May 2014) - family violence, orders for no time or communication with the father & Section 68B restraints against the father;
• Spence & Greco [2015] FCCA 676 (19 June 2015) - orders for 14 year old to spend defined time with father to develop a meaningful relationship where mother had "done little to actively promote the child's relationship with the father" since the child's birth. 

 
Our Philosophy

Horizons Family Law Centre is run as a practical expression of Christian faith, hope and love.

Following the example of Jesus, we believe in expressing compassion freely to all people through the help we provide. We are committed to the principle that all people should be able to access legal help regardless of their race, religion, education, geographic location or financial situation. We seek to use our skills and experience to empower people by providing the advice and representation they need to solve the problems they are facing.
